CHAPTER UNO, I MEAN 1!
this is a story about a monkey. this monkey is a baby chimpanzee. He lives in the rainforest with his mom and dad. He was always a good monkey and always did what his mom and dad told him to do.
But the good life changed quickly. First there was a forest fire, making food scarce and hard to live. Then humans came to tear down the burnt rainforest. But a person named Poqu was sad. He didn't want to kill all these innocent monkeys and other rain forest life. He tried to stop the tearing down of the rainforest, he yelled at them, placed wooden logs in front of their vehicles, he tried and tried, but he couldn't stop them! So he quit the operation and walked away.
As he was walking away he saw a baby monkey siting near his dead parents. Poqu was very angry, and grabbed the monkey. he put him in his hands and rocked him. The monkey could sense he was a good person. The monkey fell asleep, not knowing it was being taken far from it's rainforest.
CHAPTERO, DOS!
Poqu walked over to his village where he stayed at his hut. He went into his hut, while carrying the monkey. Poqu laid on his bed and put the monkey on the other side. "I'll call you, Fekle!" said Poqu. Though it wasn't night, they slept until the next morning came.
Once they woke up, Poqu put Fekle into his hands and came out of his hut. Poqu knew a place that cares for all animals, including monkeys! He walked over to the animal hut. "Hey there! you want to buy an animal?" asked the clerk. "no, thank you. I have this monkey and I named him Fekle, I want to see if he has any diseases and if they can be cured. "oh, Fekle, come over here!" said the clerk. Poqu put the monkey on the desk near the clerk. Fekle didn't move. The clerk picked up the monkey and Fekle jumped up and landed on Poqu's head. "come on, Fekle!" said Poqu. He tried to get the monkey off his head, but Fekle had a tight grip on his hair. "you know what, I think he's good. let's get out of here." and Poqu walked out of the animal hut, with Fekle still on his head.
"sir!" said a fat stranger. He had a deep voice and had a mutton chop in his hand. "you do know you have a monkey on your head." he said. "yes, of coarse!" said Poqu. "well, you better keep it away from the city folk, they are always choppen' down trees and doin' animal cruelty!" spit and pieces of mutton got on Poqu's face. "they'll KILL that monkey!" more mutton got on Poqu. Poqu wiped it off. "yep, i'll try and hide it from them!" Poqu ran before more mutton pieces got onto him. "is there something wrong with me?" said the fat man.
CHAPTER 3
Poqu ran to his hut. He put Fekle on the bed. "stay here, i'll be right back." Poqu walked out of the hut, on the search for bananas. Though, Fekle was better at finding bananas then Poqu. Fekle walked out of the hut and ran to a part of the forest that had lots of bananas. But when he got there, there are no bananas! Or banana trees! "AH LOOK AT THIS ONE!" said an unfriendly voice. Then Fekle saw a cage falling down and he was trapped. A hand closed the cage and put it in his car. The cage and Fekle are going away from the village Poqu lives.
Poqu returned to his hut with five bananas. "Fekle! i got some bananas!" Fekle wasn't there. Poqu ran into the hut and saw no monkeys. "OH NO! where could he be?"
Poqu search around the village but found no clue about where he could be. "Fekle must be away from the village!" exclaimed Poqu. Poqu ran to the other side of the forest, the opposite side of where Fekle was captured!
CHAPTER 4
Fekle was in complete darkness besides two air holes he could see out of. Fekle saw only the drivers using a weird circle they constantly turned. The strange thing was, every time they turned the weird circle, the big moving device moved with it! Fekle was confused and scared. Then the drivers pulled a lever upward and the moving device stopped. The drivers opened the door and got out the moving device. They closed the door and grabbed Fekle's cage. They brought the cage with Fekle into a large structure.
When the door opened, a blast of cold air hit Fekle. Fekle liked this feeling. He felt as if he as back at home, at the forest, with the crisp air. Then the Human walked in with Fekle. The human yelled some Fekle couldn't understand. A female human came rushing over. Fekle heard them talking. He wasn't sure what, he can't speak the human language. While they were talking, Fekle decided to have a look at what was inside the structure.
Near the entrance was two brown wooden desks with nothing on them. There was two doors to the right of him that said some thing, but he wasn't sure what, but there was two pictures next to the words one picture was a picture of a boy and the other a picture of a girl. The walls where bright white. A desk was in front of the man and Fekle. Behind the desk was the female human writing down some thing on a sheet of paper. Behind her was a door to another room. Nothing but a white wall to the left.
Fekle could see the humans were almost done talking. The human carrying Fekle walked toward the door to the other room. He opened the door and went in.
CHAPTER 5
Fekle saw women in white clothes surrounding a black cushiony bench. The human opened the door of the cage. Fekle jumped out of the cage and landed on the white floor. One of the women in white clothing quickly picked up Fekle and put him on the black bench. she pined Fekle to the black bench while another lady picked up a needle and gave Fekle a shot. Soon after Fekle was drowsy and went to sleep.
The next day Fekle woke up and saw he was in a cage, a smaller cage then the last one. He had a piece of sticky paper where he got shot. Fekle saw a key in a weirdly shaped hole. Fekle started to turn it and play with it. He thought it was a toy. Then the door mysteriously opened. Fekle was free! Fekle ran out of his cage... and had no place to go. He was in a big moving device! He didn't know how to get out. Fekle was angry threw the key at a cushion. It bounced off and hit the glass of the moving device's door.
Fekle had a plan. Fekle threw and threw the key with no luck. He realized he needed something bigger. He saw a cd case. He threw the cd case at the window and it shattered.
Fekle jumped out of the car and ran. He didn't know where but he ran. He needed to get away from the moving device and the mean driver. He ran and saw a banana tree! He'd finally found what he was looking for. He climbed up the banana tree and grabbed a banana and ate it.
CHAPTER 6
Poqu was search in the wrong direction, he's been searching for a while and decided to turn back. He entered the village and search the other way. he searched and searched until he saw a banana peel. He saw a lot of banana peels! It looked almost like a trail! Poqu followed it.
He kept following it until it ended. Then he looked up. A monkey was in a tree eating a banana peel. "Fekle?" asked Poqu. The monkey screeched in reply. "Fekle, is that you?" asked Poqu. The monkey screeched again and climbed down the tree. He climbed on top of Poqu's pants and onto his shirt. Poqu thought the monkey was going to hurt him, but it hugged him. "Fekle! it is you!" said Poqu. "come on, Fekle, lets go back to the village!" they walked towards the village.
Once they where semi-close to the village, Poqu saw a tsunami heading for the village! "how about we DON'T go to the village!" said Poqu. Poqu ran the other way. Jumping over dead logs and branches.they entered the big city. "hey, get out of here!" said the city guards. "BUT THERE'S A BIG WAVE COMING TOWARDS US!" Poqu yelled in his face. "alright then, every one, EVACUATE!"
Every one in the city, including Poqu, started running! Then they heard a gigantic BANG!!! And before they could trun around to look, the wave got them! Poqu's back and arms started bleeding. His legs were fine, so he kicked his way to shore. He made it before he fainted of lack of breath. He laid there, not caring what happens to him or Fekle, he just needed to lay there and rest...
CHAPTER 7
Poqu sat up. He saw large tree's every where. He looked behind him. He was staring at a big blue ocean. Poqu saw a small tree, small enough to pull out with his bare hands. He tried and tried and suddenly it snapped! He used the bark to make a small hut. Then he heard noises. He saw a small town in the distance. Poqu went there.
When he entered, it looked gloomy and all the houses looked the same. Then a deranged person walked up behind him and said "I FOUND THIS MONKEY, AND I'M GOING TO COOK HIM FOR BREAKFAST!" the woman was in ragged clothes, and had a monkey tied to a branch she was holding. "hey! that's my monkey!" said Poqu. "we can eat him together!" she said."NO" yelled Poqu. Poqu grabbed the branch Fekle was hanging onto. "well, if you wanted it, you could have asked nicely, but what's the monkey's name?" "uhh, Fekle." said Poqu slowly walking away. "FEKLE? Fekle's a stupid name!" "you know what, i need to go!" said poqu and ran back to his hut.
He went inside and untied Fekle. Poqu sat down and thought what to do next. "you know what, maybe she's right. Fekle is a stupid name..." said Poqu. Fekle noded in agreement. "how about edgard?" Fekle noded no. "frolk?" Fekle noded no again. "gorilla?" Fekle stuck out his tongue. "hmm, how about... Pido!" Fekle thought, and noded yes! in Poqu's language, Pido meant 'the lucky one'.
4 months later, a strange knight in armor zoomed across the sky! and landed on the crazy village. The knight came to Poqu and asked about a place called camp Ruush. Poqu had never heard of camp Ruush. Soon they walked to the camp and they had a miraculous adventure, but at the end of the adventure, that knight died. After that Pido was so scared he ran away. To a far off place. Pido has made the mistake of his life...
CHAPTER 8
Pido woke up near the bark made hut Poqu and him made a few months ago. Pido heard stange voices in the hut. He listened by the side of the hut. "Are you SURE this is a good idea?" "AHH HA HA! WE CAN USE THIS AS SHELTER! OR, OR!!! WE CAN BURN IT! YES! BURN BURN!!!!" "what if there's an owner to this hut, he might come back." "HE'LL NEVER OUTRUN ME, SO LONG SUCKERS, I'M GOING TO BURN THIS FOREST! BURN BURN!!!!!" "oh come on, we could be at least a LITTLE reasonable!" "BUT THINK OF THE FIRE! FIRE!! BURN!!!"
Pido jumped inside the hut. "AAAHHG!" "UUUG!" "DAAA!" three creatures where in side the hut. One of them looked tired and dinosaur-like. He had four square pieces of metal on each of his arms. He had 4 fingers and 3 toes. He had red, not blood red, but bright red spikes from the top of his forehead to his short tail. His head is a perfect circle, but his mouth is curvy and stretches from his face. He was the tallest, and was about two times Pido's size. Then another one looked deranged and obsessed with fire! He also looked dinosaur-like. He had small ears and had the same number of fingers and toes the other one had. He had the head shaped as an egg. He had a unique blue points at the top of the head, above the ears. They where shaped like the grim reaper's scythe. He had two sets of bright blue spikes both from his forehead going down to his short tail. He was blue but his belly was white. He is skinny and the shortest of the few, he was the size of Pido. Another looked like a turkey. She had a friendly turkey face. She had two wings and 4 toes. She had an unusually skinny turkey body. She was red, and she had red, bright red, comb on the top of her head, which is weird since she's a female. She was medium size, a few inches above Pido.
"uugh, i told you there was an owner!" said the lazy one. "GO AWAY! I KNOW HOW TO MAKE FIRE!" Said the fire obsessed one. He grabbed two sticks and started rubbing them together. "oh, guys, he isn't hurtful, he's just an innocent monkey!" said the friendly turkey. "OHH, IT BROKE!" "stop, Grasfen. He's nice." said the lazy one. "AAAGH! MY LACK OF FIRE! MUST HAVE FIRE!" "shut up!" the turkey and lazy creature said.
Then suddenly, the sticks caught on fire. "YES FIRE! FIRE FIRE FIRE!" "we have to get out of here!" said the turkey. The lazy creature, the turkey, and Pido ran out of the hut. "FIRE! I LOOOVE FIRE!" "OWCH! DON'T HURT ME! OWCH! OOCH! EECH! GAAH!" the crazy one ran out with his head and back on fire. He ran towards the water and burned out the fire. "that's a small price to pay to see a forest turn on fire!" said the crazy creature gleefully.
Pido saw the forest slowly burn to ash. It reminded him of the time the city people burned down his forest. He became enraged. He became so enrage that he fell to the ground. He was still tired from running from the dead knight he'd seen a couple of hours ago. Pido went to sleep.
CHAPTER 9
Pido was laying there for 2 hours. Then the turkey made a wooden bucket, scooped up some sea water, splashed it on Pido. "monkey dude! you ok?" said a familiar voice. Pido sat up and saw a blue dinosaur, thing staring at him. Pido screamed! "hey! it's me! Grasfen! the super awesome super duper cool... awesome... blue dude!
Pido stood up and saw another dinosaur, and a strange turkey. "Hi! um, I think we got off on the wrong foot, hi! I'm Dardfer! and the blue guy is Grasfen" the turkey was interupted by the lazy guy. "I'm Tof" Pido looked beyond them. No forest.
"What's YOUR name?" asked Grasfen. Pido did a almost silent monkey screech. "screech? that's a weird name." Pido now is used to every one calling him something different. Poqu calls him Pido. These dino-guys call him screech, and anyone else would call him 'That monkey'.
"so, I'm sorry for what happened to your house..." said Grasfen, ashamed of himself. "you know how vampires, they don't drink blood, then they do, and then all they can think about is blood? That's how fire is to me, except i don't eat fire, and I'm not a vampire, and..." Grasfen went on talking. "let us show you our nest!" said the turkey. Pido nodded yes. They started walking away. Grasfen went on talking.
CHAPTER 10
Grasfen and every one else stood at a big tent made of cloth and sticks. "this is our nest!" said Dardfer. "we found it near a city that looked like it was crashed by an asteroid or something."
Pido looked at the tent they called a nest. It looked like the hut Poqu had when he lived in the city before the huge wave came and destroyed every thing! He looked inside. There was two beds! Just like in the city! One for Poqu and one for Pido. And three books. One chapter book for Poqu, and a diary for him, two. And one picture book for Pido.
Dardfer came in with Pido. "there's one bed for Tof, and a small one for me, and Grasfen never sleeps..." Dardfer whispered in Pido's ear, "He has a mental disorder." "so, um, Screech, we don't have enough beds for you, unless Tof would be willing to share..." "uuuhgg... fine..." said Tof, he laid down on his bed and went to sleep.
"Alright, while Tof sleeps, we'll go find some fire wood to keep us warm, the night can be pretty cold!" "FIRE!!!" "oh! um, Grasfen, how about you defend the nest, i don't want Tof to be awoken early, he can get pretty grumpy." "BUT I WANT FIRE!" "fine!" Dardfer picked up a stick and broke it in two. "make fire with this." She said. "YAY! SEE YOU GUYS LATER!" said Grasfen. "yep, see you later!" said Dardfer.
"alright Screech, lets go get that fire wood, it's only a few hours until the sun starts going down!" They started walking to the burnt up forest. "some of this wood is still burnable! let's bring it home! They started breaking the wood and twigs with there hands. Once they got enough they started walking home.
CHAPTER 11
Once they got back to their nest Tof was yelling at Grasfen about something. "Hey guys, stop the argument, what going on?" asked Dardfer, while carrying as many sticks and logs as she could carry. Pido came a little late with ten dozen twigs in his hands. Tof started explaining the argument, "I was just sleeping as usual, then this immature blue brat came over, AND SET MY BLANKETS ON FIRE!" Pido looked at the bed. No sheets or blankets. Just a big sack of comfortable weeds and plants. "I didn't know the blanket was able to be turned into fire!" argued Grasfen. "Here we go with the SAME argument all over again!!" exclaimed Tof. "Guys! stop arguing! I'll just have to sew some... THING together!" said Dardfer, trying to stop the argument as soon as possible. CRUNCH! CRUNCH! CRUNCH! Something was outside the door of the nest. "SHH!" whispered Dardfer. "YEAH! SSSSSSSHHHHHHHH!!!" hollered Grasfen, jumping up and down and waving his fists around. "HALT!" said a strange human voice. "Grasfen..." whispered Dardfer, "do what you do best!" "ok!" said Grasfen and he went to sleep. "No! That's what Tof is best at! make fire!" If Pido could speak with his little monkey throat, he would say that burning the tent was a bad idea, and that he loved the place because of Poqu and himself. But he couldn't. So he screeched. "EEEEEE! EH EH EH EH! AAAAAAHHH!" The human came in. "These are some MIGHTY fine exotic animals!" It said, "wait, what's a monkey doing here? monkeys aren't exotic! kill it! it's useless." Now Pido regrets screeching at all.
CHAPTER 12
All of a sudden Grasfen's spikes on his back grew. His teeth sharpened. The human backed away. Grasfen walked out of the tent, and enlarged. Pido and all the other creatures jumped on top of him while he grew. he stoped growing once he was more than 30 feet tall. Pido saw a lot of trucks and police surrounding them. "what a view!" said Dardfer. Pido was amazed they weren't amazed. Dardfer stomped on one of the trucks and a big explosion, or a small one, compared to Grasfen, hurt Grasfen's foot. "owch!!!!" screamed Grasfen, and all the creatures on Grasfen fell. "AAAAAHHH!" Grasfen stopped screaming for a second and caught them in midair. Then set them down about half a mile away from the nest. He set them down and saw all the humans evacuating. He screeched louder than anything Pido has ever seen. It could be heard from more than ten miles! The humans closest to Grasfen died immediately, and the ones farther away ran faster and became deaf.
Grasfen went back to pick up Pido, Dardfer, and Tof. He set them at the nest and shrunk back. "That is the only reason we still keep him." said Dardfer. "I don't think," Tof said, but then snorted. "i'll ever," snort! "go to sleep!" then he went to sleep. Pido was amazed, it was as if that happened every day to them! Pido saw the deaf men running to the north of them. He wondered if that's where Poqu was. He ran after them. "Screech!! wait! where are you going?" Dardfer and Grasfen ran after him, leaving Tof on the ground. Pido kept going. He had a feeling. A feeling, that he was going home.
CHAPTER 13
Pido kept running, with the others behind. Dardfer and Grasfen started slowing down. "huf... lets go back, i think Screech will come back..." They started walking back. Pido didn't stop. He kept going until he saw a big city. He saw many people. He saw the weird devices that moved, everywhere! Pido went to a place that looked deserted, and a tree was there. He could climb up the tree and see what was going on in the city, maybe even find Poqu! He ran over there and just before he climbed up the tree, he saw grave stones. Lots of them. One of them read, "here lies the great bastard that almost destroyed this beloved city, shame on you, Lord Hasmaun!" Another one read, "here lies a great man who has killed Lord Hasmaun, but died doing so, we hope you have a wonderful time in the world of dead, Raslinr!" Pido vaguely knew those people's names. Pido decided that it wasn't important and he should climb the tree.
He look at the city. Thousands of people walked all over the city. Pido knew none of these people. All of a sudden Pido felt a sharp pain in his back, then he felt sleepy, and fell out of the tree. The last thing he saw was a man holding a long gun, loaded with strange looking bullets. Pido went to sleep. Once Pido finally woke up, he was in a cage, but not a mobile cage, but more like he was trapped in a wall, with metal bars blocking the way out. Pido looked behind him. there was a disgustingly light brown balls and there was a pungent smell. Pido knew it wasn't dung, it looked edible, but it was so disgusting! Pido look to the side of him. There was a bowl of warm water, with five dead bugs in it. Pido wanted to leave, DESPERATELY! He wasn't going to eat or drink anything until he some how got out of there. There didn't seem like there was a way out. Pido is worried.
CHAPTER 14
The next day he woke up and saw a man in a leather jacket breathing in his cage, smiling. The man's breath smelled worse than Pido's edible dung! "He's awake!" he yelled. The stench got worse and worse after each word. "We need you awake early, you filthy monkey!" he opened the cage and Pido ran out. The door was stupidly open.
Pido entered a white room. It was the same room he was in when the human captured him. "GET THE FREAKING MONKEY! IT'S GETTING FREAKY!" yelled the human in the room he was in a few seconds ago. A nurse at the front desk picked Pido up. Just then a guy entered through the front door, Pido could run before it closed! Pido ran out of the nurse's hands and saw the guy up close. It was Poqu! "Pido??" he said.
Then a gigantic roar made the whole village shake. He saw Grasfen stomping on houses and roaring with rage! "Where's Screech??" He roared. Poqu scooped up Pido and hollered, "IT'S GODZILLA! RUN FOR YOUR LIVES!" everyone was running and houses got destroyed. Then Grasfen spotted Pido. "UNHAND SCREECH, STUPID HUMAN!" he yelled. Pido thought it sounded sort of alian-ish. Grasfen turned and thousands of arrows blasted out his back! It destroyed everything besides Poqu, Pido, and all the villagers. "Hand me Screech, and no one dies!" Grasfen ordered, and pointed at Poqu. Poqu layed him on the ground. Grasfen shrunk and ran to Pido.
"Screech! I hope I didn't scare you! I was only trying to protect you!" he said. "Pido's name isn't screech!" said Poqu. "his name is Pido?? That's a stupid name!" said Grasfen. Pido stared at him, angrily. "but it's good for a monkey like you... heh!" he quickly changed. "so, Pido, who are these... things?" asked Poqu. "We are the E.A.C!" Grasfen said. A turkey looking thing and a small dinosaur came rushing over. "We are the E.A.C!" they repeated. "What does that mean?" Poqu questioned. "E, endangered, A, animals C, club!" Grasfen said. "Screech wasn't endangered, but we let him join." the turkey thing said. "sorry for ruining your super civilized city, with houses and wood, and food, bye the way, is there any food surviving?" said the tiny dino. "And a bed. I'll need a bed..." he said.
"so, Pido, what haven't you done since we separated?" asked Poqu.
CHAPTER 15 (DUHN DUHN DUHN! THE LAST CHAPTER!)
The next day, the E.A.C told Poqu about all their adventures. Then they took some food (Tof stole a bed) and took their leave. "Those are some strange animals!" exclaimed Poqu. "Pido, i don't think you should have kept on running when i got pushed back by the 'mystical' medallion I had to hold. i'm sorry, but i think that really this was your fault." Pido was ok with that. At least he was at peace. No more excitement.
Pido ran towards Poqu's hut and jumped to where he thought the bed was. He flew through the air and landed painfully on his face. Poqu ran into his hut and started leaning towards where he thought the bed was. He fell and landed on his back. He started coughing. "What happened to the bed??" Poqu frantically asked. Poqu ran out of the house and saw Tof and Grasfen holding the bed while running... about half a mile away. "COME BACK HERE, YOU STUPID E.A.C'S!" Poqu yelled with fury. Poqu started running. Pido was to tired to follow. He just layed there, his face planted in the ground. Pido hoped Poqu came back soon...
